Instructor Level 1 Intermediate Develop your ability to impart the skills of safe kayaking to others and work towards instructor certification under Paddle Canada’s National Program. This course is based in Nova Scotia and focuses exclusively on teaching skills and techniques. Lectures will focus on: adult learning principles, class organization, liability, stroke progression and programming. This is not a skill development course. Time will be spent fine tuning strokes, but students are expected to arrive with “demonstration quality” strokes and a working knowledge of sea kayaking theory.
